Redeemed

So there's a verse I just learned that I really love:
"Into your hand I commit my spirit. You have redeemed me, O LORD, faithful God." Psalm 31:5 (ESV)

When I decided to make this blog, I felt led to sign each posting as "Redeemed" for I have been Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. I knew that this was Biblical, but I really wanted to know a verse that would state that outright. And then last night the Lord led me to this verse!  How good is our God?

I wanted to share this verse with a friend, so on facebook I started typing it out from memory. Well, I don't always trust my memory, but its pretty easy to google part of a verse and find the rest.  Literally as I was typing the verse to her, I learned that faithful God also translates as God of truth, and that the verse can be translated as past tense "You have redeemed me" or present tense "Redeem me." How cool is that? Two different translations just happen to show us a little bit more about the nature of our God! He has both redeemed us and is willing to daily redeem us! He is our faithful God, because He is a God of truth! Always faithful to his promises....Hmmm

Here's the other translation:
"Into your hands I commit my spirit; Redeem me. O LORD, the God of truth." Psalm 31:5 (NIV)

Greetings!

Hello dear friends!  Welcome to my blog!

God has been doing so much in my life and teaching me so many things, that I felt led to share with you my journey.  This blog is to chronicle the adventure of discovering and fulfilling the call that God has placed on my life.  This journey, however, is not about the job ideas, interviews, and placements.  The true journey is the desperate pursuit of my King.

"You have said, 'Seek my face.'  My heart says to you, 'Your face, LORD, do I seek.' "
                                                                                                 Psalm 27:8

I have been deeply encouraged by witnessing the Lord's faithfulness in many of my closest friends' lives, and so my prayer is that by the transparency of my walk with Him, you will be encouraged and he will be glorified.

Much love,
   Redeemed
